Trash Printing at ReClaim It!

A person wearing a face mask stands in a workshop environment, holding two papers: one with a leaf print and another with a question mark. A table with craft supplies is visible behind.

ReClaim It! has been a key collaborator of ours since the beginning. Their mission, attitude, and voracity for salvage and creative reuse make them kindred spirits in trashy experimentation! To celebrate their 10th year and 1 MILLION pounds gleaned from the transfer station celebration, we joined Marissa Perez (our graphic designer, printmaker, friend extraordinaire) to teach the community trash printing! Just what it sounds like, we inked up trash- bottlecaps and bubble wrap and twine and sticks and broken things, making surprising relief prints that capture the spirit of what’s discarded. We’ll come trash print at any event- what fun it was!
