free stores

Two happy participants show off Free Store finds on a sunny street corner, highlighting upcycling, sharing economy, and sustainable living.

Our Free Store is a thrift shop without the cash register—a place where useful stuff finds new homes instead of heading to the dump. With support from our Reuse Program, funding from Metro, and our partners at GroundScore Association, we turned our Old Town storefront into a community hub where giving and getting go hand in hand. Since April 2024, we have hosted 9 events, served over 900 customers, and diverted over 22,000lbs of furniture, household goods, clothing, art supplies, tools, and more into the hands of our immediate community.
